Honda e (EV)
« on: July 08, 2019, 10:23:29 am »
Pretty much production ready, but no word if it's coming here.

Personally, from what I've seen, it looks awesome.  The range is a little on the lower side, but still usable for urban use (which is what most people need anyway, even if it's a second car).  Seems to look pretty premium, so pricing will be crucial.

I think it's the best looking Honda in ages.

I think it will sell well for what it is, a small urban 2+2 hatch.  That doesn't mean it will be a flop.

And I love how uncluttered the appearance is.

They managed to keep it reasonably close to the concept.

i think the interior looks good too...updated tech, simple and clean design...the screens on the far left and right sides are your "side mirrors"...the car doesn't have conventional mirrors, it instead uses little camera pods that capture the view from the sides and displays them on their respective interior screens.

I want it. Anyone else digging the retro seats and door panels? Would've loved some sort of floor shifter too but can't have it all.

For comparison...

If they made a 4 door with the magic seat Mrs Tpl might be interested.

it is a 4 door, but i doubt it has a magic seat...it's also a bit tight back there...it truly is designed as an urban runabout, with decent range (about 200 kms)...not comparable to the others with 400 kms range, but this will also likely be quite a bit less money...also, a 14 foot turning circle is bananas.

I believe it is the first time I notice such enthusiasm here in this forum, about an EV. Time are changing, I guess  ;D
Gone but not forgotten in chronological order: 2019 Volt, 2013 Volt, 2014 Spark EV, 2012 Volt and many others before...

Looks fantastic. I could be tempted if the price is somewhat reasonable. 8)
