I don't think there is any doubt C&D is milking their misfortune for all it's worth in the name of clickbait. C&D knows this will be linked to just about every auto publication, forum, and blog websites in existence. Did they embellish the experience to widen the exposure?  ;) Certainly, the writing style is very dramatic.

That said, as others have stated, C&D's experience is not acceptable in modern times for a premium vehicle. It looks like the QV is an expensive play toy to accompany other vehicles owned by those with the financial means.

Tesla owners make the same excuses for their shoddy build quality and issues...

Tesla is at the top of ownership satisfaction, that's true.

Build quality is excellent for our original 2013 Model S, still perfectly silent, solid and rattle free, runs perfectly smooth and lots of power and 97% original range.
Build quality of the Model 3 is improving quarter over quarter, with reviews of the 300,000 VIN and above :
https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-model-3-build-quality-review-300k-vin-video/

Bob Lutz was recently interviewed and said he was impressed with a Model 3 he casually inspected and said the panel gaps were world class competitive.

Times are changing, perhaps your old narrative needs updating?  If not, show some proof.

Why the hell would anyone care about what Bob Lutz thought?  The Aztek was released during his stewardship of GM, ffs.

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Tesla is at the top of ownership satisfaction, that's true.

Ownership satisfaction...because Tesla's a cult and Musk can do no wrong.

Which isn't the same as quality or service visits.

It just means the cultists like their car and are blind to the myriad of issue it has.

Though the Model S is a much better car than Model 3.

Oh...and no need to update my facts.  Consumer Reports updated theirs, didn't they?  And the Model 3 is no longer recommended.  Plus it's amusing to read the Tesla forums, youtube videos and general forums about all the Model 3 issues.  Nope...my narrative is current and correct.  BTW...remember this little issue from this year?  https://www.thedrive.com/tech/27989/teslas-screen-saga-shows-why-automotive-grade-matters

Supposedly the 2018 Giulias are much improved in terms of reliability. 2017s are definitely ones to avoid.

Back to more FCA woes....Motor Trend seems to be having a wonderful time with their long term Pacifica Minivan.

What does much improved mean?  Only in the shop 10 days a month instead of 15?  That would be much improved, I suppose.

well it appears the regular Giulia 4cyl is just fine as a daily, all the "horrible" unreliability is down to the QV. Must be all the Ferrari parts  :rofl2:

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Edmunds rates 8.4/10: https://www.edmunds.com/tesla/model-3/
