If people think the face on the SS is ugly, drive through a dealer and look at the face on these.  Fack, it's absolutely disgusting.  Like hideous.
Side by side, this

Looks 100 times better than this

GM needs some help.  Vman got the best one. Or if you can afford a ZL1.  It still looks good.

Wonder if you can lease that for $400/mo + tax...

I saw the word coupe and was expecting 4 doors.

Well, I guess GM wanted to put their corporate face on it.  Does anyone see the similarities between the Camaro and the new Silverado 1500?

There is the piece of front quarter panels that curve around the front into the grill area, just below the headlights.  Then you have the black bar bisecting the upper and lower grills.  The Silverado has the dual height headlights, which has always been a feature of Silverados, while the Camaro has those DRL's below.

No I don't see it. Isn't anyone going to comment on how bad the turbo 4 is in this pony car? ;D

I saw a refreshed one in black out driving. This one is not better looking in the flesh. Shocking really.

I too read "coupe" and thought GM was introducing some sort of raised SUV-sort-of four door version of the Camaro with a sloping rear roof line and an extra 2000lbs of nothing.

Whew, crisis averted.

The 2019 front will go down in history.  The 2020 is much better, but personally I still prefer the 2018.

Pssst!
It's called "Blazer" - it's been all over the internet, people crying foul, threatening to stop buying Camaros, flag burnings...don't say anything...in case no one else knows.

Ford's new MACH I is the same idea, SUV Mustang.  :P  Guess we'll see.  I personally think the Blazer (RS model) looks pretty good.

Lordy this thing is ugly!!! Styling more like 5/10, that front end is terrible...

This is a trend at GM now, they messed up the Camaro, Silverado, Silverado HD but did a decent job with their SUVs.

I'm getting a 1LE turbo/stick at the end of August. We'll see. For now I'm fresh out of a 5.0 Mustang and suffering from V8 withdrawal.

I hear you.  It will be sad when the v8 goes away in the Mustang.  If it doesn’t happen with the next generation, I suspect it will with the following.

Probably a HO Ecoboost V6.

Finished my week at an even 14.0 l/100km, about on par with the midsize 3-row SUVs I reviewed recently. Don't think a turbo V6 will be much better. As for the 2.3 EB, I booked one for September - we'll see how much it improves the score  ;)

if you keep it in boost, it won't.

back in the day, i had a Mazda MX-6 GT Turbo...i drove with a buddy who had a Z28...we both "gave 'er" on a trip to Missassauga...we both used the same amount of fuel (albeit, i may have been givin 'er a bit more to keep up, but i did keep up).

Those Mazda turbos were not very fuel efficient.  They needed boost pretty much all the time otherwise, why did you buy the turbo?  And on boost, yup, they drank.  I liked 'em though - still wish I'd owned one back then.  We had a 626 sedan that was a great car.

Did you guys see the rumor that the seventh generation Camaro has been cancelled and the nameplate could die after 2023 or so? Sad if that is truly the case.

I was wondering if they were getting too aggressive with pricing.

1990 Camaro IROC with 1LE and the 5.7L had an MSRP of $US14,555 according to the NADA guide, about $US28k these days.

What did they think would happen to sales when they ramp up the price like that? A V8 Camaro starts at $US37k these days.

Median family income in the US is $61k.

No question the current car is better in every regard (except looks, jesus, what were they thinking?), but that doesn't make much difference if a person can't afford the monthlies.

This would suck.  But at the end of the day, compared to its competition and despite being better in many ways, it is a sales volume failure.

GM has done this before.  Cancelled the Camaro only to bring it back later.  With the increasing environmental regulations, however, this may not be the case.
It will be back just it will have an Electric motor
