pics coming soon when the lighting is better

Ron...wow. I owe you a beer.

This stuff is that good.

Yea, it really is.  I think one of the most impressive car products I've used in the last little while.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

I didn't know you could get this in Canada now. I bought a can in the US about 1.5 years ago while visiting in-laws to try out and used it on all of the vehicles. I second the almost effortless application and surprisingly excellent results. Longevity didn't seem to be the greatest on our car, but that will vary with environmental conditions. Still, for how easy it is to use, if you need to reapply every 3-4 months, it is so easy to do so, who cares!

Lately I have been using Turtle Wax Ice Seal and Shine, another great consumer(cheap) product that delivers great results. I may pick up Meg's Ultimate Fast Finish to try again and compare.Gone are the days of labouriously applying wax and buffing off, thank god!

I'll have to try that AutoGlym stuff.  Noticed a lot of iron dust when I was waxing the truck last Friday.

It works a treat!  You'll have to re-wax, though.

That Turtle Wax stuff is supposed to be pretty awesome.

Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Okay bright sunshine post application - can't really tell much, other than the car looks blindingly white.  :skid:

Serious downpour today - nice beading.

   Ron!

Lately I have been using Turtle Wax Ice Seal and Shine

That's a product that I raved about for many years when I had my dark blue Jetta!  I didn't know it was still around.

I may be mistaken, but I think Turtle Wax Ice Seal and Shine is a new product and hasn't been out that long. It has a very distinctive smell, almost cologne like. Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax is a different product(arguably better) and has been out for a few years; it is a synthetic wipe on/wipe off yet gives the glossy depth of a carnauba wax. I use both as a topper in between an annual polish/sealant application yet it's almost at the point where these spray on products can stand alone imo.

Yeah, it's the one that was available in the late 00s.  Loved its simplicity and performance.

Thanks for the tip Ron, used it on the Audi today, really easy to use and a heck of a lot faster than traditional methods, interested to see how it repels the water and for how long...

One thing I love about a fresh layer of quality carnauba wax is how slick and teflon-like the paint feels after application.  When you slide a California duster over the hood, it feels almost frictionless.  If I have one criticism of the Meguiar's product, it is that it does not mimick this feel.  I added a layer of Poorboys QD+ (quick detailer plus) and it immediately gave me that super slick feel to the paint.

Admittedly, this might matter to no-body but me.  But like tight water beads, it's one of the traditional visual / tactile tells of a good wax job.  I did pick up a bottle of Turtle Wax Ice Seal 'n Shine as it receives similarly glowing reviews on ease of use and length of protection as the Meguiar's.  I'll be interested to see if it does any better in this respect.  Surprisingly hard to find locally.  Canadian Tire no gots.  Had to go to facking WalMart  :hurl:

I will say that with the ease of application of these new synthetic sealants, the likelihood of me ever doing a old school Karate Kid wax on / wax off job is somewhere south of zero.

You can put pure wax over synthetic sealant. The sealant will provide protection for months while pure carnauba (the good stuff) last days. The longer lasting semi synthetic waxes can go over sealant too then you can put pure wax over that.

Sealant - protects your paint
Wax - makes it look good

This sealant is a touch different as it also imparts gloss and shine...not just a protective sealant.

It's more of a wax/sealant hybrid.

I've used many sealants in the past. This one is different. Which is why i like it so much.

Yup.  I just want it all in one step and one product.  I don't ask much.  ;D

You'd like McKees 360...closest to a one step I've found.

My problem with AIOs is that they cause my polishing pads to break apart for whatever reason. Too heavy?

I'm going to try this Meguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish stuff out.

I used an application of this.  Works well.  But, at least in my experience, not nearly as good as Hydrosilex Recharge.
When I've seen it, it's been at  about double the price.

Good product though.

I brought Meguiar's wax yesterday. Not too expensive. I didn't even realize that there was a thread on this. It's really easy to work with and the car looks shiny....Here is the appliance, in all her glory... :)
