Yup, I wholeheartedly agree with you. The new "Supra" has nothing on the MK4 as that was a proper Toyota engineered sports car, the new one, its a badge engineered car from an inferior company.

And yet it's getting great reviews.

To call BMW an inferior company is rather rich.

Compared to Toyota, come on. Which one will be around running when the cockroaches and twinkies are the only thing left, not the BMW.

I don't really give a :censor: about that, I know which one I'd rather be driving today.
The Supra? It's get better driving dynamics than the Z4...
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

The Mustang, you're damn right about that !

Damn right indeed.  Bullit >>> Z4 in an ugly duckling costume.  Not even close.

I'm talking generally Toyota vs. BMW. It'd take an M240i or M2 or M3 over any Toyota/Lexus product.

I have driven the Mustang GT350 before with my wife.

How good was it? Let’s just say that it ended up being red panty night and it wasn’t even my birthday.

So is it a red pantie night all the time now since the Bullitt is in the driveway?  :stick:   :run:

How does the price of the Bullitt compare to that of the GT350?  Was the GT350 just too pricey to even consider?

Don't know the difference in price off hand, but it is substantial.

Gotta be more than that loaded vs loaded.

So here's my issue where my lust for a car such as this crashes into logic.  I'm never going to track the thing.  I just read in another article that the GT350 tops out in 3rd gear at around 180 kph - which will get your car confiscated anywhere in Canada.  This car is all about wailing the engine up to its insane redline.  But effectively, you're diving a 3-speed if you do that - and you only see redline twice.  Bullit is plenty enough for me.

Yeah, they're fast cars. I'm in second and third gear 95% of the time. 1LE has some tall-ass gearing though. Max speed in second gear for my car is 128 km/h and third is 173 km/h - lol

My 33yr old 951 is geared stupid tall as well, and I have much less torque and horsepower compared to you, 2nd tops out just under 110km/h and 3rd tops out just under 160km/h. I can get around the track in just 3rd if I really wanted to  :rofl2:

Yeah, only meaningful option on the Bullitt are the Recaro seats for $1800. You can price a GT350 to $85k, and the GT350R is $10k on top of that loaded.

Interesting. How do you like the gearing. I've really grown to love the long legs.

Well, with the turbo lag it makes my car a real dog outta the hole unless I bring it up to 4000rpms and drop the clutch, but that's too expensive of a proposition. On the track it's nice because I really only shift up to 4th on two sections if I hit the corners properly before.... if not, then I can stay in 3rd. Loafing around town I'm usually in 3rd or 4th depending on the street. It's nice accelerating on an on-ramp as it just keeps pulling & pulling.
