On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

The bore spacing is identical to the Coyote as is the deck height is too. Which means that engine travels down the exact same line as the Coyote..where's there's excess line capacity.

6 speed manual isn't Ford's

Not sure what RWG means? Is that an abbreviation for something? Otherwise it shares the same platform as all Mustangs...it's not bespoke to just the Shelby. And they sell 75k-100k of the S550 platform per year. Economy of scale.

Real World Grrr...

Rear Wheel Grip

Right, We're Gone!

Rrrrrr...whhh....glug...

Ride With Girls

Hmmm...pretty sure I'm not getting it.

Just a lot of really weird guesses.

Love the car, hate the shiny black wheels.  Yuck.  At least they could've used the PP2 wheels...

Toyota has a V8. Use it. Better to use a different engine configuration than outsource to a competitor, especially if their version has more power.

Most manufacturers buy transmissions from others.

They could sell a pile if they priced it right.

But badge engineering is just too easy and too profitable to resist.

Have you seen the SIZE of Toyota's V8?  The thing is bloody huge.  It's DOHC so it's got VERY tall heads, which increases both the height and the width of the engine.  No way does it fit in a Supra!!!!

It fits in the LC500 yeah? Decontent it, slap a Toyota face on it and a hoop spoiler <BAM> Supra that's actually Toyota.

Alternatively, take the 3.5L V6, TT it, <BAM> Supra that's actually Toyota.

The V8 is for Lexus...you'll see it blown in TT guise in the LC-F. Would likely be too heavy for the small footprint they wanted in a Supra, as well a CoG concerns since their benchmark was the Cayman.

It's not for me as I'm not a pony car guy, but it sure would be fun to flog on the track  ;D

Toyota wanted to make a sports car, not a GT.

I thought they wanted to make a Supra. Silly me.

Price it the same as the equivalent Mustang or Camaro, like the arguably most successful Supras.

Yup, I wholeheartedly agree with you. The new "Supra" has nothing on the MK4 as that was a proper Toyota engineered sports car, the new one, its a badge engineered car from an inferior company.
Lighten up Francis.....

If I was a pony car guy, THIS would be the one I would get. Hands down. Reminds me of what I would love a new Alfa 8C to be like.

I would consider a Camaro...from a few years ago. Current? Yuck.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

And yet it's getting great reviews.

To call BMW an inferior company is rather rich.

Compared to Toyota, come on. Which one will be around running when the cockroaches and twinkies are the only thing left, not the BMW.

I don't really give a :censor: about that, I know which one I'd rather be driving today.
