It ain't a 426 anymore, but it's still a Hemi.

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

There's one of those in Winnipeg.  '66 Belvedere, two-door post, Hemi with 4 spd, black in colour.

A friend in AZ has one, reverse of this pic: black interior, medium red exterior but full wheel covers. Looks like a priest's car, until you notice the 4-speed Hurst shifter and the discrete 426 hood ornament. Garage mates: pro-restored Series-I E-type Coupe, '33 Ford hot-rod, '63 T-Bird Speedster, F360 Spyder, Gen-2 Boxster, and soon-to-be-on-BaT TR6.

Hemi heads, yes. 426, no. If strictly on the basis of the combustion chambers, this is also a hemi:

Had a ride in a 1966 Plymouth Satellite 426 Hemi. I was 9 years old and I still remember it!  :skid:

1966 Dodge Coronet
Originally factory ordered by the FBI, later owned by "Big Daddy" Don Garlits. One of two built.

I really like the sleeper look. I should get a flat black wrap, steel wheels and centre caps for the Jetta.  ;D
