I'm not sure why it seems so hard to get people to care about this car (as compared to the GTI). I think it's a pretty impressive offering in an upscale-ish sport sedan.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Agreed. It's a great package. Apparently the interior is not quite as nice as the GTI but it's also thousands less, plus you get some features not available on the GTI like ventilated seats, digital cockpit, and the adaptive suspension.

For leasing the GTI is still tough to beat thanks to its much better residual value, but there's definitely nothing wrong with buying a GLI.

Ah yes, the Dragon. Makes me reminisce about where I used to live, and the wonderful roads.

Actually didn't care for the Dragon; went there all of twice with my motorcycle and that was it. Between the crowds and contrôles (thanks to its notoriety the maximum is 50), I opted for other lesser-known and better roads. But still a lovely region.

Was on a road trip with a friend a few years ago and we ended up on the Dragon accidentally, believe it or not.

can get it with a manual

I hate VW, but they get a  for that.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.
