Still a looker, still great to drive, and slightly improved.

i don't think i've ever seen one of these...the display sticking up in the middle of the dash is the only blemish on an otherwise great looking interior.

Building one now. I like the signature.
It's a looker inside and out just prepare yourself for the 4 cylinder noise and inadequate AC. Really a shame.

Will drive it.

Agreed everything looks roses but for the engine (for me)
Yup. The Atlas has the better V6 engine between the two.

*Edit* Not sure this is still true but at the time we were shopping almost2 years ago...
"Apply Car Play, Huge Pano roof, Cooled seats, heated rear seats and V6 are details that it has over the Mazda CX9"

I like everything about the Atlas but too big for us now.
The CX9 is also big.

I know.

The problem is that there aren't too many true "mid-sized" I want.

Jeep Grand Cherokee, Honda Pilot......but then many are going from smallish all the way to very big.

Which is why I get stuck looking at Q5s, X3s, and RDXs....but then I look around for value and things like the CX-9 fit that bill. Probably a little bigger than what we need but many are also a little smaller than we'd like too.

How is Mrs. Railton enjoying hers? Perhaps something to look at.

Ford Edge, GM Blazer, Nissan Murano...

Do what Angry Chicken did and get a base Q7 with the 2.0T.

Seems this may be a Mazda issue... i've noticed this at times with CX-5... struggles a bit keeping cabin warm on the really cold days and same with AC in summer.
Not really a big deal for us as it is always garaged when at home and at work, so it rarely sits and bakes in the sun.

After all the shopping we did it came down to the MDX and the QX60. The Infiniti is quiet and smooth and was the clear winner based on value. Even mmret wrote me a message a year after he bought the MDX saying if we was going to do it again he would go Infiniti and that was including the Explorer Platinum also into the mix.
I sat in a new QX50 a few months back and was surprised how much rear seat room there was. Check it out as its more nimble-sized than the QX60.

What about the RX with the snowblower front end?

It's a looker thats for sure.  In and Out. Can't comment on the engine. Have only sat in one in the dealership.

Guess I don't know what I am missing with the AC, as I am used to using the AC in vans.  So when I had the 6, felt quick and cool to me.

I think this is the best looking midsize SUV, by a fair margin. And the interior looks great.

The Highlander out sells it 10:1.

I had a rental Highlander in December while I was in Florida. I hated the transmission and how it upshifted so quickly to save fuel.

A ised Edge is dirt cheap and a decent effort in Titanium trim.
RX350 would be my choice if I had the scratch.

Me too, wouldn't touch the Edge or Murano.  Those Muranos aren't exactly the most reliable SUV going.  Have to agree, the RX or Q5, even if a CPO.

Vman,  do you have the Lincoln Nautilus on the list?
