Love that colour.

It's too bad FCA has no interest in selling the Charger here though. Minimal incentives and dealers generally don't bother stocking them. Doesn't help that this V6 has a price north of $50K.

just buy a one year old similar model on the used lot for almost half the price:

I think the AWD version sits too high.  Great paint colour.

Funny that the review calls the acceleration "adequate".  I call a mid-six second 0-60 and a quarter-mile in the high 14s "more than adequate".

I had a charger rental a while ago.  It certainly didn't feel as fast as I thought it would.  I might call it "a little more than adequate".

The sight-lines bugged me and the overall driving experience was pretty meh.  UConnect was great though.

i'll address a few things.

oh jeffer... don't do that... a rental with 55k on it in one year? that poor gal has seen things... rentals are fine, but try to keep the kms down. I just bought one GT today... go mango in colour and only 17k on it... i'll have it on for 31950 when it arrives tomorrow (hopefully)...

FCA has a certain amount of incentive money... they found that in Canada, it just didn't make any sense to put the money into charger's, 300's, durango's, and the like... be thankful!! it's what makes ram trucks and grand caravans so well priced! if they had to take an extra 5k off each of these beasts, that is 5k more on the things that actually sell.

I agree that they don't feel fast... but they do the job. just know it going in, and you'll be fine!

the tech group that was a bit of an issue for the reviewer, it can be adjusted. I had a customer come in today complaining about his lane keep assist... my god, yeah... he had it set to "early" and "high".... that means it will kick in early, and correct "high"... read: aggressively! in the uconnect, change the settings on all that stuff to late and low and you'll only have it kick in when you actually need it (and the correction won't cause whiplash or have you scoot over a lane like my 5 year olds bowling ball). also, the blind spot stuff can be changed to "visual only" with no chime. so that isn't really an issue.

With regards to the last part, if I was reviewing cars professionally, I would make sure to read the owners manual and learn how to use the damn car properly...

So many gripes and complaints about cars can be rectified by using the manual.

My rental had the GT package. I thought it looked great.  And if someone was after a good looking AWD touring car you could do a lot worse.

Based on how I drove it, I wouldn't be so keen to buy an ex rental Charger.

I had a rental Charger up to 115 mph. Is that bad?   :rofl2:

Leaves one wondering who this car is for. If you want performance buy the V8. If you are after gas mileage 12.4 doesn't really cut it. If you want AWD there are several more economical choices including Subaru Legacy and the new Altima. My AWD Fusion is only a little smaller but with a turbo 2.0 gets 10-11 real world mileage. So a V6 Charger doesn't seem to quite fit any category people might want.

they have a couple of them and the other one clearly mentioned it was a rental...i see this one has the "Daily Rental" hiding at the bottom of the paragraph...oh well...but forget the one i linked, and get the one you are getting...it's still almost half the price and practically new anyway with only 17k on it.

And the police version still lets you pair AWD with the V8.

Love the green and black colour scheme. Very Green Hornet. I think that interior looks almost comically dated, though. I'd find another $5k for a G80.

It's only 5k more for a G80?  Jesus, that's a no-brainer.

agreed it's a no brainer new even in my mind... but comparing it to a used one (which is how most awd good sized sedans are purchased in the retail world), a comparable g80 is over 15k more than the charger... then, it's a whole new debate and not something that gets cross-shopped.

as for the who it's for... heres what a salesman *should* be telling you for each point you made; performance wise, the v8 is a great option, but a) it's not available out of fleets and 300hp is all you need. the 3.6 also has a lot of potential for tunes and such. fuel economy, I was able to eek out 8.3l/100 out of the same drivetrain in one avg, so it's possible, plus, it uses 87 octane, unlike most turbos in the category. overall, getting a1 year old example with lower kms will net you a lower price point, plenty of hp, and more room than nearly anything you can compare it to. plus, looks damn nice and while some might say dated, it actually still holds its own against nearly any in it's direct competition for infotainment and all that.

If I set up a security company, could I order the cop version with V8 and AWD?
