The frontier is now what the Ranger used to be.

Dated, cheap, but utilitarian and reliable

I'm surprised I don't see more of them around.  I would see tons of Rangers, precisely because of the reasons above.  I wonder if Nissan is pricing them competitively, or trying to match what the newer trucks are charging.

A crew cab 4x4 is ~$40k!

A base one is $35k with freight.

Yeah, and they've usually got some serious discounts thrown at them too, making them a pretty good deal.

Just for kicks, went to Car Cost Canada to see what a new 4x4 Frontier could be had for:

$32K' ish

Didn't see any sort of incentives listed other than a "Finance/Lease Loyalty" amount for $800

Late last autumn I was pricing those and Titans out (end of '18 models) and they were notably cheaper than other trucks.

I've got both the Ranger and the Taco in the driveway this week for a head-to-head.  If there are things you wanna know, ask away.

MPG please!!! TFL had a great comparo where the Ranger came ahead BUT no mention about mpg....

My full week average was 12.3 per the computer. The 14.5 on the days when I had the bed full of snow didn't help that, neither did the cold weather and heavy use of 4Hi. I think the Trip 2, which had a few thousand KM on it, said low 11s
