Firstly, previous to my post the responses had no basis relating to this exact model. Secondly, the Quash is a POS relative to it's competitors and not a smart buy. Resale will be in the toilet. Corolla Hatch is priced equally, but the reality is that the OP has $20K all in and will have to go older. Those 1000s of Quash ads do influence ppl and not in a good way. 
The Kona is on fire right now so zip possibility on that front.
Thats your opinion. I don't like most Nissan models, you don't see me telling her to buy a Honda HRV.
And where does she say she only has $20k ? That's the offer she wants to make. The resale value on any Korean car isn't better than Nissan. You want a Toyota competitor, the C-HR is the candidate.
