I don't think candy apple red works on this car.  At all:

I like the red.  Hyundai calls it "Calypso Red".   It's not silver, grey, or black.

Bright red on big sedans rarely works, and doesn't here to my eyes.  Would look awesome in a deep blue like my my old Sonata.

win the lottery??...a 2015 Chrysler 300 is only about $2500...assuming it has a full tank of gas in it.  :P

I almost never see red 300s on the road - and that car has been out for like 30 years.  ;D  Might be a reason for that.  ;)  It doesn't look as bright or as flat as the Sonata red, though.  And doesn't look as bad (to me).

Exception to the rule:  Soul Red Mazda 6.

The take rate for red is generally quite low regardless of what car we're talking about unless it's a Ferrari.

Love the Panamera in Carmine Red:

You can get the updated 7-series in a nice red too:

I'm betting the take rate in red is higher for sports coupes and hot hatches than it is for big luxury limos.  There's a reason for that.  ;D  Bright red Audi A8?  Just say no.

PS - the Porsche is a bright red - the BMW is not - closer to burgundy which is closer to acceptable.

Oh of course - but even when I had my red GTI, I rarely saw another one but saw plenty that were white/black/grey/silver.

Back in 2001 BMW brought 10 Imola Red 740i Sports to Canada. Always loved that car in that colour.

Allegedly red cars, crash more, cost more money on the insurance and can't been seen as easy in our peripheral vision...:hide:

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

We don't track crash stats on car colour here in Manitoba.  Therefore, red cars pay the same rates as other colours.

I have a hard time noticing cars trying to change lanes with red turn signals, while amber turn signals I notice them all the time.

The fellow that parks next to me at my building has a brand new Mazda3 in red. It's an absolutely beautiful colour.

I saw a red Q50 coupe in what looked like a complete clone of the Mazda Soul Red and it snapped my head around like that car has never done before.  In bright sunlight it looks like some fantastical blend of fire and molten lava.  Why EVERYONE doesn't copy it is beyond me.  Because 90% of red cars will look like crap if a Soul Red Mazda pulls up alongside.

And yeah - I've seen the new Mazda 3 in red with black wheels and it looks insanely nice.  Trying to get my wife to go take a look at one.

Oliver's brother got the Mazda 3 Sport in red with black wheels to replace the 2010 Mazda 3 sedan that Bella's son bought off of him... he sent me a pic of it and it looks
