Yes, the sloping roofline reminds of an A7....and the butt a Lincoln!   ;D

FWIW, some lines of the Lincoln were also compared to the A7...so maybe we're both right!   ;)

looks like a Peugeout. Not overly a bad thing, as Pug lately has been putting out nice designs. Looks a lot less Korean and a lot more French IMO.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

I just went to their website and can't find one that remotely reminds me of the Sonata.

Which one??

508 and 308. Not exact of course, but the Sonata just reminded me of Peugeot design language of late

i like it...i find that first pic reminds me of the Fusion though, which isn't bad...kind of thought it looked like a Ford Aston Martin.   ;D
Yep. I'm seeing Aston in the front, LS500 in the side profile and the aforementioned Lincoln at the back  ;D

Not a bad looking car at all, looks upscale. But I don't agree with any other comparisons y'all are making in styling....to me this thing is straight up Buick Lacrosse like from the rear!

Am I the only one that liked the previous Sonata?

Appears so.

I liked the one Jaeger had.  I like that this new one DOES NOT have a feckin' I-Pad stuck to the dashboard.  Way to go Hyundai!!

Yeah, I like the dash layout instead of the I-Pad sticking out! Rear end reminds me of the newer Volvo's & Honda Accord coupe. Nice looking car overall though.

Looks great to me, especially the interior. Some other  ::) designers should be forced to look at how to integrate the tech into the dash with a fresh look, instead of the sometimes deal killing ipad crazy glued to the dash look. Or they could look at my Elantra Sport or the new VW Jetta GLI for 'ideas'.  :P

I like the exterior from all angles, even the rear, with one exception. What are those multiple bubbles on top of the rear taillights, don't like. I'd have to see the daytime running light 'streaks' in person to see if its a good addition. To me its not good that its 2" longer than the existing Sonata, making it one of the longest mid size cars.

Now the all important question is engine and transmission choices. It needs the yet-to-be launched Hyundai 2.5 turbo as the optional engine (or a strong V6, not going to happen).

Wow well done Hyundai!  The rear end looks odd to me, but the front, profile and interior all look top notch!

Maybe Hyundai should've had a look at your Elantra Sport for 'ideas' too.  :rofl2:

So I read that there will be an N-version of the new Sonata, powered by a 2.5T motor.  :o  Which must be true, because the internet never lies.  ;D

you can't really go by other markets...many cars use different powertrains depending on where they are sold.
