Very pretty, but I'm on a Big Horn budget if even.

Wow, talk about huge margins.  If they actually sell these, what a dream for FCA's bottom line.

they sell them...and if means anything, all the top trim trucks are in this range.

C&D did a recent comparison review, and the RAM was actually the least expensive (compared to the F150 and Silverado, all vehicles top trims)...they finished up saying the RAM was actually worth it.

I'd rather have a Honda Pilot.

Most of the new Ram 1500s I've seen have the fancy headlights indicating upper trims.

I'd rather have a Honda Pilot.

Lotsa cash for a loaded rig... but it is selling as I've seen quite a few of them on the road here already. Will be interesting to see the hybrid tests when they come out. No mention of the diesel, but I was pretty sure they were planning on bringing it back eventually.

Do they sell them or do they lease them? I bet it is more the latter.
no idea, but i don't see a lot of lease deals on trucks...it always seems to be cash on the hood for purchase...tooscoops can likely share what percentage he sees end up being leases.

if you are talking about the eTorque system, it likely won't be earth shattering, but it seems like it offers a 2 mpg improvement (over non-equipped models)...i wish that option was available on some of the lower trims...the 2mpg improvement is nice, but the improved start/stop transition and assistance off the line (torque) would be worth it for me...however, it looks like they only offer that option on their top two trims.

Chiming in from truck country. Lots of these showing up on Edmonton streets now - and every single one I've seen (without exception!) has been a Limited. Same with Fords and Chev/GMCs - at least half seem to be King Ranch and up (Platinum and Limited) or Denali trims. We sure love our expensive trucks here.

I reviewed one of these last fall and was blown away by it. It certainly takes refinement, comfort and tech to a whole new level for a truck. I mean, the price is eye-watering, but you never end up paying that anyway. But if I was in the market for a top-trim truck, this is what I would buy.

The V6 comes standard with eTorque while it's an option with the HEMI. Although the Fuelly average on V6s has been in the 14s L/100km so far compared to the 12s for the previous gen V6s so hopefully it's just engines being broken in and winter temperatures affecting the readout and we see numbers closer to 11 as we head into summer. I'd get one.

i don't count the base V6 trims...they are there to satisfy a "Starting from ..." advertisement...you'd be crazy to buy any of these trucks with the base V6...the EB V6 from Ford is fine, i'm just talking about the NA V6 models from RAM and GM.

I think the take rate of the V6 is more than you'd expect.  There are a few guys I know who are driving around in mid-trim (Big Horn) crew cab Rams with the Pentastar V6.  They don't tow or haul, and basically just use the truck as a daily driver.

i'm sure a few buy them, but i think it's foolish...it's a massive vehicle and the cost and fuel economy penalty for a more appropriate engine is minimal, not too mention the resale ability as well.

It tows up to 7500 lb depending on configuration, good enough for me. Nothing wrong with the Pentastars.

Ford still has an NA V6 as well.

Why not? It's rated for it. Tacoma tows 6800 lb. Will it be fast? No but I don't need to show off to the world I can tow a loaded horse trailer up the Coquihalla snow shed at 140 km/h to compensate for anything.
