The fuel economy is not all that great, might as well get a full size pickup...
The article says 1.5cm taller than the regular Sportwagen. If that's true it hardly seems worth it. 1.5 inches maybe. Sent from my BLA-L29 using Tapatalk
What isn’t intuitive, is that engaging the Tiptronic shifting mode requires the driver to move the gear selector away rather than towards you. Selecting a higher gear requires you to push forward and reverse for lower – which is unintuitive and curious. Paddle shifters are mounted on the steering wheel, but they are small and feel cheap in an otherwise high-quality cabin.
My GTI works the same way and never found it a problem, never even thought about it until read this article. Also, who would use the shifter to change gears when you have paddles on the steering wheel. Even if they do feel cheap.

So, for me that complaint is valid. I drives me nuts.
That interior looks dated, and drab... I was never into VW products, too boring, except the GTi of course.I think it lacks some key features at that trim level too.

It's also very functional and feels reasonably upscale. Agree that it's missing a few things, heated steering wheel being one of them. But, it was first released in 2013 and the market has moved to more standard features since then.
