I agree that the 6th gen is much better....but the low prices some of the 5th gens are hitting right now makes them a relative bargain.

Side note; the Yellow/Black 1SS 1LE featured in this article was one of my most memorable test cars over the 6 years I've been doing reviews. Felt & sounded like a proper muscle car, with minimal frills.

Yeah, the C5/C6 Vette bargains seem to have dried up now that people have figured out what great platforms they are for building a fast car.

The 6th gen Camaro is a huge leap forward, but I agree that the cheap price of a gen 5 is appealing for a build car.

I haven't kept up on GM, but I was surprised about the comments about the 3.6L six. I wonder if that is a problem with the Impala and Lacrosse too?
