Beater
« on: February 26, 2019, 09:36:29 am »
A friend of my wife is looking for beater vehicle that will last her about 1 year.  Till she can save up for a proper vehicle.  Coming from overseas, so such probably doesn't have the best credit rating to finance a vehicle.  Looking to pay cash for a vehicle.

Can be manual, but prefers auto.
Little or nothing to certify.

Looking to spend less than $3000.  100km of Burlington.

Thanks for any help friends.

I like the Accord, and for $2500 I'd take a chance on the transmission.

I think the Buick Allure is the best beater going. Depreciates like mad and should be a comfy cruiser.

And it'll be newer with less kms than an Accord/Camry.

I gave her some of the recommendations.  And recommended some Malibus, Fusions, Sonatas, Impala, Allure, Focus.  Only so much I can do, I have enough on my plate.

Thanks for the recommendations everybody.  If I hear anything, I will update.

Yep, full or mid-size domestic sedans. Sellers can't give them away right now because they're off-trend, but many of them are still great cars that can be had for practically nothing.

^^ this.

may not be a Camry or Accord, but still decent and pennies on the dollar...just get something that's been maintained well, and it should provide years of cheap service.
