I'm picking mine up tomorrow morning.

It's nothing exciting but it's a great family hauler.

Yea right, in the back of your mind you're criticizing it for not being body on frame, no transfer case, engine the wrong way, no skid plates, only 6 cylinders. :rofl2:

My brother has had one for years and years.  It's the older, boxy one (can't remember what year).  He absolutely loves it.

It's a really great raised AWD minivan without sliding doors  :rofl2:

It does its job well, and for that reason, I like it.  Would still love a Yukon/Tahoe, though.

Just be aware the Yukon and Tahoe will us 50% more fuel. But it is 50% more capable if you need it.

you forgot no locking diffs.  :P

It's very comfortable, and seems very capable too with that I-VTM4 AWD system. I have more features than I will ever need.

A few things I like :
- Wireless phone charger
- Standard remote start
- Space and comfort
- General quality of the fit and finish
- Good power. It takes off when you need it too. I'm not too bothered by the 9-speed auto
- It's no sports car but it is peppy enough for the weight and nimble in corners too
- Auto-dimming interior AND exterior mirrors. The exterior mirrors also tilt down when you back up
- Quiet and well filtered ride
- Foot activated power tailgate. This is pretty cool, but a little finnicky. You have to swing your foot a certain way, and it takes time to react and open the trunk
- Walk-away door locks

It also has power folding mirrors, but it doesn't seem to do it automatically when you lock the doors. You have to press a button. Weird.

Yes, it's a little minivan-ish. Much less rugged and adventurous looking than the previous generations. But it is still quite capable off-road from what I read and saw in reviews.

I think it looks better than the Odyssey, for what it's worth.

50% more fuel?  Closer to 30% more fuel, which is still a lot.  When comparing the combined fuel economy average.

Yeah, pretty much the same with the Infiniti QX60 of Mrs. Railton's.
The Yukon/Tahoe is much more of a truck in feel and comfort - gear shifter on the steering column for instance. When I had the Infiniti QX80 rental when last at CTC South I was surprised at how truck-like it also was. It roared off the line then  settled down once cruising around. Much more luxurious inside than the Yukon/Tahoe as well.
The QX60's power folding mirrors are also not automatic when you lock the doors.

And probably costs 30% more to buy as well, right ?

seems odd...our Sorento has the power folding mirrors and they fold in when you lock the doors...perhaps it's a setting that can be toggled on/off in the menu somewhere?

The power folding mirrors fold automatically upon locking on my Kia Rondo as well. And I thought it would do the same in the Pilot as well, I looked around in the settings but couldn't find anything about this.

Also something interesting, the exterior mirrors will tilt down when you back up, which is useful when you parallel park, BUT... You need to push the little selector switch left or right (the switch you use to select which mirror you want to adjust), to determine which mirror will tilt down. I guess they did this so you could choose depending on which side of the street you are parallel parking. If the selector switch is set in the middle neutral position, neither mirror will tilt down.

I would prefer the button.  As I wouldn't want to do it all the time.  Maybe just tight spaces.  But why would I want to do it in my driveway.  More often it folds, the sooner it will break down.

In Kia vehicles, you have the option of not having them fold automatically if you don't want them to. It's an added benefit I think.

Interesting point though. My wife likes that the mirrors fold automatically because then she can visually be sure the doors are locked. At night before going to bed, she looks out the window to check the cars and seeing the mirrors folded are a confirmation that the car is securely locked.

Yes, I would have expected an auto feature but..
What I do though sometimes is I fold mine and turn off the car. Then, once I've turned off the engine I click the button back to the unfold position. When I start the engine, they unfold...still manual but I don't pull out forgetting to unfold them.
