one thing I've noticed is that we are not selling many low price point/trim levels.. all sports, rebels and laramies.

Is that because people are buying the Classics at those lower price points?

that's likely a possibility...the other is, people like their nice things now, and those upper trims are really nice trucks...factor that in with incentives and long finance terms (96 months) and people go for the $65k trucks instead of the $45k versions.

yeah.. I think mostly they switch to the classic. the classic expresses at like 37k are the way most people are going. sale price on say a big horn new ram is about 45k. and the people that like the blacked out expresses, want a sport, so closer to 51k for one of those.

that is some poor trolling considering not a single person even slightly agrees with you. or does that mean it's good trolling?! heh...

to each their own though. you don't have to like the design.. but to claim it's outdated is just fallacy.

Not really, this is the 2016 Dodge Ram.

To me it look like a mild refresh of the older Ram. The grill is pretty much the same. The front lights now has the Honda trim above the headlight. Most consumers won't be able to tell, if the 2 Rams, were park side by side on a driveway. That is why it looks dated, even if the majority disagree on here, because you are all car guy's. The chevy looks totally difference and looks like you've brought a new truck.

it's a continuous evolution of a design...it isn't a dramatic departure from the previous version...most vehicles are like that, for several reasons...for one, there's a lot of people (customers) who like the design, so departing from that design language could erase all attention it got you in the first place...secondly, you want people to recognize your brand...just like a VW Golf always looks like a Golf...VW wants people to know that when you see a Golf, you know it's a Golf.

funny the way you mention the chevy. due to a huge outcry from the chevy loyal, they might be changing it up a bit more next year to be more like the outgoing model. it is generally thought of as a bit of a "mistake" in the business.

you are also picking the most forward looking of the last gen (the rebel) and comparing it. pick a big horn to compare... and also, while you (and other non-enthusiasts) might not notice, it isn't just a new clip or something.. it's new from frame up.

again, there is no debating whether you like it or not. that's cool, you do you! but to actually attempt any type of rational debate on whether it's changed is based on your visual opinion, not any type of factual evidence. is HAS... drastically (for a light duty truck)

Lol can I have some of whatever you’re smoking?

LOL. It's not like for like, but it is close. The point I was making is looks dated, Like something from 2000. if you compare it, the Dodge Ram to new Chevy offering.

Can I have some of those pills too?!

The RAM 1500 is the most up to date and modern truck in the market today, sales numbers are showing that too!

So it's skin deep in other-words. Honda tried this with the civic. accept admittedly it wasn't skin deep.  :P Anyways your see, it will date quickly.

ok... sure.
Quote
From every angle, it's obvious that the Ram is all-new for 2019.
from an article in the states...

it is listed as a "clean slate" design. sure, they had the image of the old ram to go off for looks, but it is ALL NEW with a few minor carry-overs, with even those offering mild changes (ie. etorque mild hybrid on the v6 and v8).

as fun as it is to be on the winning side of a debate, it is useless when the other side has lost sight of reality and doesn't know they are wrong! haha! have a good one.

Now all they have to do is make the Ram reliable. The last model was below average. These latest Rams look really dated against the competition.

I disagree on the dated part.

Umm.....I don't know.  ???

Don't those pics just disprove your point?  I'm an F150 owner, and fack me if the new RAM isn't the nicest looking truck out there right now.  I mean...this? ???

Cannot beat this. Assuming you actually consider looking at your truck.

Which is dissimilar enough from the outgoing model to be easily discernible.

Chevy

this go 'round.

that truck looks amazing.

 :iagree:

x2  That does look good and likely they way I'd spec one.
