Kona or Civic in Winter months
« on: February 03, 2019, 05:24:51 pm »
I was just wondering if any of you guys/gals have bought a Hyundai Kona? Today would be a good day to have one, there has been a significant dump of snow in Ottawa today. People seemed excited about the Kona at first but I don't hear much about them now.

Perhaps this is because it turned out to be the car of your dreams and everything is just perfect, or perhaps it didn't turn out as good as you thought it would be.

Anyways, it seems like it would be lots of fun to scoot around in this car.  I would chose the one with the 1.6 Turbo.  Apparently it has 16 inches of ground clearance and is easy to get in and out of  :-)
LETS' DO THE "TIME WARP"... AGAIN!!!

I don't even have to check the specs to know this is wrong.

Modern cars scare me in the reliability department. Honda had (has) issues with the 1.5T as found in the newest CR-V and Hyundai's DCTs don't inspire confidence after all you read about them online.
Kona sounds like a practical choice but I would test drive the heck out of it to make sure nothing bothered me about the transmission shifts.
Just my 2cents.
If I wanted something that lasts forever, is reliable and has great mileage in this class I'd get a f-ing Prius. It should look better now with a recent mild refresh.

Lol Quad a troll? Ok there bud. Hyundai Canada's website says 170mm or 6.7" of ground clearance so before you go slinging personal insults, maybe check your facts first. Stock pickup trucks don't even have more than 12" of ground clearance.

Stay cool dude... I'm just trying to help you. Move out of your parents basement, get a job, stop dreaming about cars you will never be able to afford, and STOP wanking so much.

Some day "dorkzilla" you shall be a MAN   :rofl2:

I wonder if he screwed up his units and meant to say 16cm of ground clearance?

Still, Offside for the Dorkzilla comment (Although it was very entertaining, and Quad shall henceforth be known as Dorkzilla)

You have to let Hyundai sponsor you to get that stuff.[emoji23]
