Prius sales numbers have been going up in Canada every year since 2012 or so

US numbers below, and 2019 is looking like another 20% drop.

I must be one of the few that thinks the latest Prius looks very nice.

I think it's interesting.....and was surprised at how much better it was as a whole in 2016.

Looks good in red.

A Prime would work for my shuttling duties.

You have to read the small characters. I guess the Prime is driving up theses numbers, not the regular one.

True, both the US and Cdn figures are Prius family, but the Prius V was dropped awhile ago and the c will be dropped this year, likely neither are much of a factor. It does look like the Prime is pushing things:

Now that Americans are turning away from the Toyota Prius in droves, Canadians are finally latching onto the Toyota Prius. The Prius, Prius Prime included, set a Canadian sales record in 2018, but that record was smashed before Toyota even entered the fourth quarter of 2019.

By the end of November, Toyota had already sold 8,159 copies of the Prius. In fact, over the last three months, the Prius Prime has accounted for 81 per cent of Prius volume.

As per AVEQ data based on SAAQ stats, in date of Sept 30, 2019: Already 5,296 Toyota Prime/plug-in were immatriculated in Québec.

I have never seen one around here but really like them.
