If they stick the BMW I6 in the Lexus IS then they might as well give us a RWD 6 speed manual version.  Take your wins where you can.

Except that BMW doesn't mate a manual to the B58B30M1 (which is what is in the Supra).

Makes me queasy. The feeling I get when someone puts a SBC in a Ford. It's just not right
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

What...What? All this time I've been thinking the Supra was going to be available with a stick and it isn't.  Ok, no longer interested.

Yea, it was never going to have a manual.  :(

WTF Toyota?

Sounds like they didn't feel like developing an in-house turbo V6... which is weird since they have an I4 turbo already (so they know how to turbo an engine) as well as an excellent 3.5L D4-S, whose DI tech is probably superior to a lot of engines out there. Strange decision indeed. I hope it's just a rumour.
P.s. I think the new LS has a V6 turbo, so why not de-tune that for the IS?

Should have read the article.  :P It says that the IS F will use the TTV6 from the new LS.
Fair enough  ;D

Too bad. I saw it at the auto show and although small, it's an awesome looking coupe.

There is rumor that a track model might come out with manual.

But don't hold your breath.
