2020 Kia Telluride
« on: January 14, 2019, 05:00:49 pm »
Kia’s on a Rocky Mountain high of late, entering more segments and launching more new models. The latest one is a bit of a big deal. Literally. The three-row Telluride is the biggest crossover the company has ever produced.

I think I'm liking this one better than the Hyundai version.

Something reminds me of a Land rover here, which is a good thing.
Also, it appears the same Atkinson cycle V6 + 8spd auto is used as in the Palisade.

Easy choice with those two interior shots.  Even thought I like the more integrated screen in the Hyundai, I can't get over the push button gear selector (assuming that's what I'm looking at).

I don't know why but the front end of the Hyundai makes me think of Cadillac's and the front end of the Kia makes me think of the new Navigator.  The back end of the Hyundai lights remind me of the GMC Yukon and the back end of the Kia reminds me of Volvo CUVs.

i'm the same...to me, i much prefer the interior overall of the Kia, even though i also prefer the integrated screen...and yes, i'm not a fan of the buttons...i like shifters...2nd choice (which i'm ok with) is the dials (like the new RAM trucks)...the buttons seem silly.

:iagree:
I suppose I could get used to buttons but I'm thinking you'd have to LOOK to make sure you press the right button and in the winter wearing mitts or gloves might not be so easy to hit the right button.  With a gear shift lever, no need to look at the gear shift.

^^^ I'm definitely feelin' the Kia - it manages to look more premium. The Hyundai is definitely the more distinctive and will no doubt pull its share of buyers.

+1 for Telluride, too.

Hopefully they kept the interior feature level of the Telluride as high as the Pallisade.
