It's a subjective value from two different contributors.  I'd have given the Edge ST a 7.  ;)

I know and it is on the list but it might be too big. We’ll see. I will probably use the truck for a lot of cottage duty now so we can probably swing something a little smaller/sportier.

The nautilus like the RX350 and GC are basically perfect size.

But...but...the Aviator looks sooooo nice!!  It's based on the Explorer...it's not THAT big.  It's only 6" longer and a 3"wheelbase larger than the RC350 for example.

I'm somehow convincing myself into the RX350 which I can't believe. The Luxury trim is a really good value when you start pricing all these cars out, it has a proper engine, and Mrs. Mango generally keep her cars a longer time that I do. 5-8 years forsure.

I dunno.  It's a wise pick IMO.  Comfortable, reliable, value, quality, etc...and like you said...you won't need to worry about sh*t for 5-8 years plus...

I know. To me it wins on value (in relative terms), the interior is great. I'm just not stoked about the ride (too soft) and the looks but I'm talking myself into the looks. I looks better with the Fsport but then you can't get some of the traditional luxury trims with the fsport which pisses me off (like wood trim, brown leather, etc).

You can only get brown with like 2 exterior colors IIRC.....

This.

For worry-free motoring, the RX or RDX make a lot of sense to me.

The seats are better in Luxury trim than in F-Sport.  At least that was the case with the GS350.
