math required comparing base engine to upgrade engine, tuning packages, between different models in the same segment...basic math but why make it harder? Easier in 5hp increments.

I know you're just trolling me now.   :rofl2:   Cut it out!

None of that matters...the dyno is the only truth teller.   ;D
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Seriously, Chaosphere, you're making a 'thing' out if the advertised HP outputs now?  Seriously?  It just is what it is.

I agree. Minor annoyance. But an annoyance nonetheless.

Could be. I am alone on a lot of things, and that is fine.

Why is everyone saying they'd buy a 911 over this thing?  Honestly if I wanted a car like this and only had $50K I'm buy the nicest Lexus LS I could find.

If I was in the market for something that a 911 offers I wouldn't be shopping for a Bentley, maybe a Jag, but not a Bentley.

My own dollars would likely go to Lexus as well. But truth be told, I'd rather HAVE the Quattroporte. I just couldn't bring myself to put my own money into a probable money pit. So I'd compromise- in a way. Pass on the spastic Italian and the sober LS and grab a screaming GS-F.  Yeah, that's where my money would go.

Not a  Genesis  ???

I have a Genesis - don't need two.  The premise is what used super-sled luxury-performance car would you buy other than a Bentley.

Insurance on a 2005 Bentley Continental GT would cost me $1839/yr: $200 deductible, $5M TPL.  I get a 26%.

It's just a VW, right?  Basically a fancy Golf?  Can't imagine why owning one would be a big deal...

Do you think a Genesis (or g80 ) ultimate (Awd and the 5.0) be pretty good economic option to a ls or the  Bentley? Forget about the "Super-sled" Part.

I have zero interest in the vast majority of these land barges. I don't know, I've never conquered a continent, enslaved a people or tried to make Yoko Ono into an established recording artist, so the whole RR/Bentley thing is beyond me. If I hit the lottery, S65 AMG...but really, a V8 Genesis or Lexus LS sounds much more up my blue collar alley.
Lighten up Francis.....

I've not driven the new LS - and man, the reviews have been surprisingly mixed.  The G90, and the Equus that preceded it are both very reasonable alternatives to the previous gen LS, though.  As is the top spec G80 - though it gives up some size to the big Lexus and is arguably more positioned against the GS.  I cross-shopped the Genesis and GS quite closely, as a matter of fact.  I do think Bentley and Rolls are on another level of luxury from Genesis and Lexus though - even on another level from an S-Class or 7 series.

I will say this - a V8 G80 / Genesis may be THE value buy in a premium used luxury sedan.  It is a truly excellent executive sled.

i don't disagree it's a nice car, but i'd be tempted to spend the premium for a G90 3.3T.

As much as I like the sheer lux of the flagships, the GS-F might be the ultimate car for me, sedan-wise.

After owning the IS-F...I feel the same.

Only here does the conversation start on something as awesome as a Continental GT and move to something as boring as a Hyundai sedan so quickly  :rofl2:

I'll always have a soft spot for the Continental....because it was one of the first cars I raced in my Supra where I was REALLY goaded into racing by the lunatic/coked up owner....

A legit sports sedan, all the luxury you could want, wailing high-revving naturally aspirated V8, Lexus build quality and reliability - what's not to love?  Okay, besides the fugly fang-face, what's not to love?   ;D

Hardest thing about scoring a GS-F used is that they sold so damned few of them new that there just aren't ever going to be many around.
