How can this article not have caused any discussion?   ;D  This group is filled with far too much common sense.
I agree.

But if you reviewed the new Golf, 911, Mazda CX-5, or perhaps a Lexus RX, or an Acura MDX...47 pages in 6 minutes guaranteed.

Oh, and I TOLD YOU GUYS the Maserati QP (post 2007) was reliable. Hope Firm's parents continue to enjoy that luxo-barge 4-door Ferrari.

To be fair, it's only been like 3 months. But it does live outside, so it's been exposed to all the typical fall/winter Canadian elements, which don't seem to be bothering it.

I freaking LOVE the Quattroporte.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Why is everyone saying they'd buy a 911 over this thing?  Honestly if I wanted a car like this and only had $50K I'm buy the nicest Lexus LS I could find.

If I was in the market for something that a 911 offers I wouldn't be shopping for a Bentley, maybe a Jag, but not a Bentley.

My own dollars would likely go to Lexus as well. But truth be told, I'd rather HAVE the Quattroporte. I just couldn't bring myself to put my own money into a probable money pit. So I'd compromise- in a way. Pass on the spastic Italian and the sober LS and grab a screaming GS-F.  Yeah, that's where my money would go.

A man after my heart....

That's what I really want.  But I think the prices (due to scarcity like the IS-F) will forever make them too expensive for me.   :'(

There's an LS-F coming out.....TT V8!!   :o
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

QPs are near the bottom of their value curve, and thus for what you get they are not money pits. Possibly the most reliable Italian car of recent vintage. I want one badly for Mafia cruiser nights...
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Which isn't saying much.

I shopped these when I was looking...and the services done on the cars I looked at was frightening.  And these were the "reliable" ones of the bunch.

The costs too.

I can only guess why he'd want the GS-F...from a performance standpoint, it would smack a Genesis around.

467HP makes people do funny things!   ;D

that brings me to an annoyance of mine...

why 467hp? Why not 465? Or 470? I am sure they could easily get to either figure. It is not a metric horsepwoer (PS) thing, because 467 is 473 PS...

Just make it nice round figures. Not 352hp or 113hp or garbage like that.

OCD rant over.

Because they don't lie for marketing reasons.

Like my IS-F with its mighty 416HP!!  Could have easily been 420, right?   ;D

yes, they could easily play with the A/F ratio or timing and get 420...or dial it back 0.0001% and get a nice 415hp. 416 looks too exact, and we know not all engines make exactly 416hp anyways...

And what...415 or 420 look less exact?  What's your cut-off for an "exact" looking figure?

I mean...OCD joke aside...there's no real reason that you have to go in arbitrary 5HP increments, is there?  Apart from marketing?

5hp increments are nice little increments that make math easy for us knuckle-draggers. And yes, they look nicer on paper.

What math is required?

And guessing that's the mean reason.

math required comparing base engine to upgrade engine, tuning packages, between different models in the same segment...basic math but why make it harder? Easier in 5hp increments.
