2019 Forester Touring w/ Eyesight
« on: December 07, 2018, 04:42:33 pm »
It felt surreal driving a brand new car home from the dealer.  The drive is only 3-4 minutes so it didn't last long.

I will update the post with driving impressions and proper photos as I get to drive it more over time.

Looks good!  But you went straight home?  No way I could have done that.

Superb!  Loved the outward visibility of the Foz when I drove one a while ago.

Is that the same blue as Random's Crosstrek?  It's lovely.  Enjoy!

looks great...subaru should work on their website though...i looked up that colour when you bought it, and while nice, wasn't a fan (which is odd, since blue is one of my favourite colours)...but that colour looks great in real life (or real photos in this case)...looks MUCH better than the online palette (which is perhaps difficult to do?).

I had skipped lunch and had to log in at home for work.  I'll go for a drive maybe tonight or tomorrow.

Yeah the blue looks so much better in person.  The website image looks too artificial.
Having said that, their build and price site is pretty simple and easy to use than most other sites.

Very nice! The interior looks great.

Thanks.  This is my first light interior in cloth.  I am not letting the kids drink/eat ANYTHING in the car other than water.

I think it's a bit different from Crosstrek's blue, but I haven't seen many blue Crosstreks so I'm not too sure.

Visibility is almost TOO good.  I feel like everyone around me can see me so well especially without dark tinted windows that my MDX had.

Nicely done!   Love the colour.  Looks proper with winters on black steelies as well.  That thing will be a tank in the snow.

Yeah nice buy I will make you happy for sure.

Only downside is you’re no longer my gen2 MDX brotha anymore  :P

LOL yes.. I will miss the MDX, no doubt.  I took a few pics before I brought it to the dealer this morning for remember it by.  :'(

Thanks guys :)  I am watching the Raptors game and it went to OT. So no drive tonight.
I'll drive it for at least an hour tomorrow with mix of highway and city with both kids in the back.  It will be a good test both for the car and my patience.

What winter tire did you finally go with?

What winter tire did you finally go with?

I thought about going with xice3 but decided to give iPike RSV (225-60R17) from CT a chance. It cost $488 for the tires before $40 rebate and $75/wheel.  Installation was expensive at the dealer but I wanted to avoid waiting for Costco wheels to arrive and make a separate appointment to get the tires mounted & installed at a later date.  I didn't want to take a chance without winters for a week or so.
So it cost $992 all in.  If I had the time, I would have gone with DM-V2s from Costco for a bit more.

Can't beat that cost.  PIA time of year to receive a new vehicle because of the rush over these friggin snow tires!
