Only body panel that is shared with the 1500 is the roof. Apparently the HD has three inches more legroom than the 1500 but I'm not sure how they accomplished that without a longer roof. The Duramax diesel carries over but the gas engine is apparently all new though no details have been released. The official debut is at the Chicago auto show in February.

The foot hole at the front of the box will be useful to tie down ladders

Yup, GM/Chevy did it again...went for ugly. Damn.

And it sits so high you need Ford's tailgate step on the bumpers just to use the bumper step. The integrated box side step I kinda like. Probably freeze up in winter though. And, at least it looks like they got rid of that gawdawful pee tank on the driver side.

I’d bet there are several grill packages. This is a mid level LT model, so there will be a trail boss, LTZ, and High Country with unique features. It’s going to have to be a in person thing before I can call this one, does indeed look burley. Interesting fact; the truck pictured (purely a styling buck) is made of foam!

I predict GM will lose the #2 sales spot - their new trucks are subpar in design and interior quantity...
