If you weren't an auto writer, would you notice the steering in the Infiniti was "numb"?  I ain't never tracked my car, never will...it's not a track car, neither is a Q50/60.  In normal driving would it be so bad?  I can't say, all my cars are hydraulic... :P  Think the truck might be an electric rack... can't recall.

Definitely.  It's not as pronounced as some folks make it out to be, but the Infiniti's steering feels very much like a video game and what little feedback there is is quite artificial.  In fairness, I'm referring to the Q50, not the 60.

Also, it's certainly quick, but it doesn't feel like 400 hp to me.  Maybe they're tiny horses?  ;)

Totally off topic but why did you get rid of your 2017 STI?

Lease is coming to an end next month.
The past:00 BMW M Rdstr, 19 Jetta, 15 Ducati Scrambler, 09 Triumph Bonneville, 98 Boxster, 17 Kawi Z900, 05 LS 430, 99 LS 400, 17 Subaru STI, 14 Triumph STR, 15 WRX, 09 Ducati Monster 1100,  08 335i, 06 Suzuki SV650S, 06 330i, 06 MX-5, 04 Audi A4, 03 Suzuki SV650S, 98 328i, 93 Civic Si, 85 Corolla

Nuts.  And no next generation to consider.

Are you going to buy it out and flip it?  I ask because the resale value on the STI in Alberta is crazy high.

I have been seriously considering doing that, yes.  My buyout is several grand lower than the cheapest one I can find on autotrader

And the only other consideration is Kia stinger GT, which would definitely be unique because I've never seen one here on the road.

No kiddin'?  They've become quite plentiful in the GTA now.

Back to the previous question, the answer is RS3.

I test drove a 4 cylinder Stinger, decent car but I do't think I want anything that large.  I think I'm going to take another shot at the 2017 BMW 240i.

Gorgeous car, hope the deal gets done. Even if the end game is to have an RS3, this will make a fine diversion for a few years.

So after a day of haggling here's where I stand:

$9,200 discounts
No freight or pdi ($2,495)
$650 discount on sport exhaust
Warranty until Dec 2022
$600 for a gently used set of winter tires and wheels from a customer on a recent trade install included.

So I'm getting over $12,000 in discounts, a good gently used set of tires and wheels for $600 and an extra year of warranty, it's getting done tomorrow.

That sounds like an excellent deal.  You've locked in the depreciation expense plus more!
