This thing does look pretty darn nice and kudos to Hyundai for at least offering a manual in some version of the G70.
I'm a fairly staunch supporter of manuals. So much so, that I'll probably be buying used rides for next little while as long as reasonably low mileage manual models are out there for daily driving.
But even I'd concede it's exceedingly unlikely that offering the G70 3.3 would make any kind of business sense for Hyundai. The market of folks like me (and others on here) is sooooo small. The argument that offering a manual will build enough "enthusiast cred" to drive overall sales higher is ludicrous. An ad with some paddles shifts (just like F1!!!) would do more or less the same for 99.9% of the audience.
Sure, it's a shame more people don't want manuals, but it is what it is. Doesn't make sense to build something that won't generate a positive (and tangible) ROI.
If Genesis only cared about profits I think they would have about 10 CUV's in their lineup already.
I can assure you unequivocally that Genesis only cares about profits and growth. That may be long or short term depending on their market and plans...but it's all that really matters in the end.
