Good review overall and probably the hybrid I would choose but I would have appreciated if the article went a bit more into how the Insight compares to the Prius and Hyundai Ioniq in terms of fuel efficiency, price, power, and space.  I know it's not a comparison test but giving these numbers a bit more context would have helped me.

I agree, as this segment is ALL about the brain side and none of the heart side. It is all about numbers and comparing pros and cons vs the competition.

I would still go Volt for my needs, but this does seem like a good commuter for sure.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

i like it...looks like a solid choice for a hybrid sedan, and it seems relatively affordable too.

I like it too, but the mpg is quite a disappointment in my opinion...

+1 What kind of mileage are you expecting? Rated at 4.6/5.3 L/100 km city/highway sounds pretty good for the size.

It's not a Ford.  That's the disappointing part...  The fact that it's a Honda and won't break down at some point is disappointing, too.

And it will never be a Ford, as it won't have exhaust manifold issues, cam phaser issues, stuttering issues or corrode at the slightest hint of moisture.
Lighten up Francis.....
