Those White Rose gasoline stations are going back 20 years on that Concord.
One of my Sisters had a sedan version of this car - -mostly because her Husband had an AMC/Jeep dealership back in the day. She had aPacer and a Gremlin too!

My uncle had a 76 Gremlin as a winter beater in the early 90's, it had the 4.2L inline 6, 4 on the floor & the optional Levis Strauss interior... that inline 6 had great torque & with the gearing in the 4spd you could do a burn out for a block  :rofl2:

Funny... drove past an old garage on way back from apple orchard last Sunday and there was a Concord sedan sitting there.  Thought "wow, ain't seen one of those in a while'
Old man in the '70s had a Hornet wagon.  Not exactly a fine piece of automotive engineering...

I test drove a used AMC Spirit back in the mid '80s.  I liked the look of them at the time, but one drive had running far far away......

a guy a worked with back in the 80s had one of these (it was his parent's family vehicle)...it was an AWD model (may not have been a Concord Wagon, and perhaps was an Eagle wagon??)...anyway, it's nick name was the "Family Truckster"...the thing was a beast in the winter with its AWD and slightly higher ground clearance (vs regular cars).

For true AMC weirdness, check out this this Mexican Concord-Spirit mash-up - the VAM (Vehículos Automotores Mexicanos) Lerma, made by AMC’s local partner.  Profile is a lot like that of the Rover SD1.
