I kinda dig this thing... if I only had the space!!  I think this would fit into Firm's collection quite well  :stick:

Yuk.    Now a REAL Toronado or an Eldo  is a different matter.  We have 2 Eldo 'verts in G  or just one that has been repainted in the last few years, saw it recently.  Never see it stationary...probably because it doesn't fit in modern parking places.

This was one of the cars I loved as a kid. I'd want the ultra high end Trofeo model though which did come with a touch screen dash in 87. While having a few unique features this pricy 2 door looks so similar to the smaller and cheaper Olds Calais it's no wonder it was a sales flop.

to be fair, part of why they struggled so much was the fact GM often made 5 versions of the same car to appease their saturated dealer market (Pontiac, Buick, Chevy, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, GMC)...when i look at that car, i see shades of Chevy Celebrity and Pontiac 6000 in there.

So cool! I love it because it represents everything that was wrong with GM through that era.

I'd need the over the top Trofeo model though  ;D

These are neat in a historical/not seen anymore sense. I'm glad someone kept good care of it but it wouldn't be one I picked to own.

I likey Reatta's! When I had my 88 I would always tell people I own a rare, completely hand built 2 door, 2 passenger sport/luxury coupe, that would keep them guessing for ages what the car was lol.

A car that completely illustrates just how badly GM had lost the plot. I admit it would be interesting to own now, but I'd have to get it really, really cheap.

The car I feel the same about is the Cadillac Allante.

I remember as a kid, my older brother's buddy had a late '60's Toronado.  In all it's 455 cu inch overheating glory.
Looked like this one
