There should now be a second article about the underside aerodynamics of   race cars sand the evolution of it in fast road cars

no mention of the motorized one on the Lancia Thema 8.32?

or the double spoiler on the Ford Escort Cosworth?

hmph....
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

The Wheeler-Dealer  guys put a 3rd layer of spoiler on a Cosworth.    I was not impressed...although they did a good job.

Were rear window louvers considered spoilers or were they simply cosmetic?

^^Just for looks...keep the sun out.

Also, that rear spoiler on that blue Mustang you had originally posted is actually a from the early 90s SVT Cobra..

Interesting! Haha I replaced the photo because I noticed the louvers and spoiler and thought it was a double spoiler situation. But now that I know the louvers are non functional, I'll allow it.

Ducktail spoilers are cool

I used to like watching the exhaust curl behind Trans-Ams and Camaros while waiting for the schoolbus.

Those Chaparrel 2J "sucker" cars used a snowmobile engine to run the fans. They sounded pretty strange.

Can't forget the biplane wings on the XR4Ti and SVO Mustang!

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

The rear wings on IIRC 1969 GTO Judge and 442 Cutlass W31 used to produce lift. Not exactly what a person wants. They looked good though, I guess.

i remember those XR4Ti cars well...there were a few around here back in the day...a rare beast nowadays though...i looked on autotrader and not one Merkur product listed nationally right now.
