The article makes it sound like Volvo is new to the crossover market but they've been selling them for 16 years. They are new to this segment though.

I think Volvo has really nailed the styling of the XC40. It's nicely differentiated from the larger models. I've seen a few around town and they're very sharp.

They really did a good job. But 55K is out of my range.  :-\

Looks like a neighbour of mine down the street traded their V40 in on one of these... looks great!!! Like I said on the Cadillac thread, it would be toss up between it & this for me if I were shopping in this segment.

It is high on my list to replace the Q5.   ( Another Q5, RDX and the XC60  are currently the other contenders)

This is much smaller than a Q5 no? Need less space I assume?

While I really like this thing I think I would have a hard time picking it over the Audi allroad.

We rarely use the back seats.  Mrs tpl's walker fits in the hatch and we fit in the front seats.      But the XC60 is also on the list which is the same size as the Q5.  The RDX is somewhere in the middle.

i like these as well...the one i'd build removes one or two of the packages and is about $51k.
