haha that ad description has a number of places that would give me pause

no badges even though apparently special edition - dont worry he has stickers!

accident with replaced fenders and bumpers

car has had a repaint

rust is present visibly, wonder what is underneath

the advertisers user name is "exclusivelyaudi" - not a fan of his ultra rare CRX?

I know what I have, dont waste my time $9k firm.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

A friend of mine in University had a CRX that was in perfect shape. I rode around in it a few times, seemed like a super fun car to driver.

Naturally, it was stolen at some point.

Beautiful car. The new CRX had more power but was also substantially heavier.

I don't see a manual choke lever. Automatic choke? So fancy. :rofl2:

The only badges on these was the one on the hood near the bumper..the "H". There were no other badges.

And they all came with stickers that said "Special Edition". They were meant to go on the side near the rockers. Not everyone put them on though...they kinda looked cheesy.

The Fit is the closest thing to that today.  I actually really like the body lines from a lot of those 80s models, very simple with large glass areas.  They were easy to drive and had a lot of interior space for the tiny outside dimensions.  Even being Hondas though, they had a lot of the issues all 80s cars had: low power, carbs, etc, etc.  That said, compared to anything being made by The Big Three, they were marvels of reliability.

I agree with you about the carbs.  The 3 bbl worked well and I loved the manual choke but, if you started to have problems, it was tough to get it right again.  I've read about changing those motors to FI, which makes sense.

I think the last daily driver car with a carb I had was an 81 Accord.  I was shocked that the fuel system went without attention the entire time we had the car, but I was very happy about that!

Ah memories.....My Wife had a 86 CRX when we met. I loved driving that car. She sold it and bought a 85 Fiero GT (we weren't quite dating yet so my opinions were null) The Fiero lasted exactly two trips to school before throwing a rod through the block lol.
