Wow, that judicious use of blackout trim really gives this ride a new aggressive look.  I dig it.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

My buddy is leasing a Jaguar F-Pace with the blackout rims for his wife and kids.  He didn't get tire & rim protection.  Big mistake.

I am not surprised by the praise for the CVT.  The Nissan CVT’s I’ve driven have been very good.

I shopped the current gen Maxima - transmission was not a negative in the least.  In fact the entire drivetrain was a solid plus.

I had a new Pathfinder last year and hated the CVT.

Correction: You hated the Pathfinder and attributed your SUV hate to the CVT.  [emoji14]
No...it was definitely the CVT. Would have been so much better with a regular auto...

My son in law has a 2017 SL.....very nice ride and the CVT doesn't feel "cvt-ish" at all to me.
Old Jag convertible...one itch I won't have to scratch again.

If I didn't know the Max had a CVT, I would not have really been able to tell.  I'd take it in a heartbeat over the perpetually confused and reluctant 9 speed auto that I drove in the TLX - though I liked everything else about that car better.

I think I pointed it out at the time...some CVT have been perfectly acceptable when I drove them.

The one in the Pathfinder was not.

Shrugs.

I've actually read a lot of complaints in Pathfinder reviews about the tranny. Different model in the Pathfinder vs the Murano?....different setup or programing?

I had a rental Maxima and it was an excellent, excellent car. Put it in Sport mode and the acceleration is addictive. Put it in cruise control too and that thing is smooth -- none of the sudden jolts that's typical in traditional automatic transmissions.

I hated the Pathfinder in general however.

I think the transmission has always been the biggest gripe about this thing. Though someone from here drove one and basically said that the thing was a poorly engineered death trap that handled like a drugged rhino.
Lighten up Francis.....

What a strange looking device! Is it fish or fowl? Is it sporty or dull? Is it raised or lowered. Why? What? At first glance it looks like a plumpish suburban prowler for the aesthetically-challenged who can afford a bit more than a CH-R but still feel the need to show off. Or something. Perhaps.
