Between GMs range of torque monster V-8s and Porsches 911 offerings, you can spend $55-165K and have all the performance a mortal can handle, a car you can drive everyday, and actually maintain at a local dealer that doesn't laugh like The Joker when you pull up.  Well, Porsches aren't cheap to look after, but they're Kia-budget compared to the Pasta Rockets.

I would have no problem buying a used Corvette or Camaro as I know I can fix them for relatively next to nothing. I still would love a 911 of some sort in my life but I wouldn't turn my nose up at a Z06, Z28 or ZL1 in the least.

The nice thing about even late model out of warranty Porsches is that even Edmonton has some indie techs that are more than capable of helping you keep your car in top shape.
