 :iagree:

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

[redacted black and white argument] [redacted black and white argument] [redacted black and white argument] badge whore [redacted black and white argument] [redacted black and white argument] soccer mom [redacted black and white argument] [redacted black and white argument] ...blah blah blah

Clearly an X5 is not on your shopping list Fob.   But the following are all true:

- The options on this unit are crazy.  Of course no one should pay $95k for a 6 cyl X5
- That said, it's still much nicer than a Highlander
- And somewhat nicer than an MDX
- Those differences cost money.

There's a large range between a Toyota and a Bentley, and this thing is somewhere along the spectrum...depending on your priorities.

So, did I miss the part about the Q7?  That's likely where my vote would go in this category.

When I bought my 2017, nicely equipped worked out to a MSRP of about 78k. Hard to make a direct comparison as the option packages appear to have changed but  I find mine not to be lacking anything of importance to me. As this is the last year I'm surprised there aren't special discounted option packages or more included options in some sort of "special edition". MB does this regularly when a new model is coming.

FWIW mine has been trouble free for 14 months/20K  (a nice change for me ;D ) and I'm really enjoying it.

I would disagree with one thing in the review. I don't find the "Comfort" (middle of 3 options) too soft. "Sport" setting does feel a little more athletic but I find it sometimes holds the shift points too long for around town driving

Old Jag convertible...one itch I won't have to scratch again.

Nice to hear it's been trouble free and that you're enjoying it!

Yeah that is strange, BMW usually does it too. In fact they're doing it right now for the 330i with two different M Sport packages that bundle a ton of things together for a reasonable price.
