Wow.  The Lexus grille is actually less fugly.  That almost never happens.  :rofl2:
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Terrific car saddled with a terrible fascia. I don't know what Toyota is thinking.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

The side profile is a bit odd too.

I wish designers would stop with the superfluous character lines.

I was watching Demuro's take on the Ferrari Superfast, and he basically made the same point about the styling being overly fussy.

This is a quote about how Mercedes styled the new A-Class.

“Design Chief Gorden Wegner said if you like it, take a line off. If you still like it, take another line off. That left the simple side profile with a sloping nose, shoulder line, and a character line near the bottom of the doors.”

I bet the Toyota design brief is “Keep piling on the superfluous crap until nobody can stand to look at it anymore. Then pile on some extra, just for good measure.”  :P

Probably looked good on the computer models. No one thought about how it'd look in reality, it was Friday at 16h in California- time to hit the beach, then just hit "Print".

Yeah, at least with the Camry you can get the "sport" option and make the front end not as terrible.
Lighten up Francis.....

^ I like this guy. The A-Class does look fine.

For that matter, the Corolla hatch looks pretty good too. The front could be toned down a bit, but it's a little hatch and it kinda suits the demographic.
The Avalon and Camry look silly with enormous grills and random creases.

I’m thinking Renault Clio, Ford Fiesta, and even larger cars from say, Alfa Romeo or PSA don’t have a scowl threatens to scare children.

But just my 0,02€ .......

:rofl2: I've never heard of angry cars scaring off children. I am occasionally intimidated by Mitsubishi Lancers in my rear view mirror however.

Me neither.  Lexus is pretty bad, but this is absolutely horrible......probably the worst front fascia I've seen.  I'd give Acura's beak of a few years ago a 10 against this.
