agreed. it's not really as big a deal as many make it out to be... but still something to keep in mind. on PDI, we find a lot of stuff like that... wrong trims, wrong/missing badging... we catch about 70% before it is in the customers hands.

and yeah, the 2018's are really good deals (though confusing as hell to figure out between "demo's", regular deals and alternative financing all over right now). 2019's have 2500 on the front end, 2500 after tax (for some customers) and then just whatever the dealer can do... so maybe another 4 or 5k or so...

Is there a review of the V6 crewcab 4x4 with the e assist anywhere?   Interesting system for stop/start.

I don't think they are available yet. If the e torque and stop/start provide a sizeable difference in fuel economy at a more attractive price, it would bump it up on my shopping list for my next purchase.
I would fully expect it to be close to the Ascent in real-life FE so SirO wouldn't go all "green" on me if I were to buy one  ;D

How about those 2017? My local dealer is offering 35% off for them - I assumed they’d had 2 or 3, but they have 20!

when i watched a review on youtube, they said the eTorque may provide a 2 mpg improvement for the 5.7L V8...in the US, i think it's "only" an $800 option (not sure about here though)...factor in the torque assist down low, smoothed out shifting and a supposedly seamless start/stop, might actually be worth it...last i heard, it was a $2k option here though, but i'm not sure if that's correct or not.

The eTorque will be great in urban environments and should also provide a modest real life improvement on highways in hilly/mountainous terrain as well.

can only order it on hemis right now and only on very specific trims... but on the hemi, it's a 500 option on longhorns/limiteds... no brainer in my opinion.

are you sure about that price (it's $800 in the US)?...but as you said, a no-brainer if the price isn't too much...the eTorque is supposed to be standard on the V6 models when they launch (optional on the V8s).

yeah, looking at my order screen as I type... looks like you can get the v6 with etorque right now on the tradesman... and it's a no cost as you mentioned. that is the only orderable package for the v6 right now it looks like. changes all the time, but that is according to what I can order today. 500 to add etorque on hemi longhorns/limited, v6 with etorque standard engine choice (so no added cost) only on tradesman.

i watched a review yesterday of a dealer in the US (not sure where) who was showing off their new Rebel with the 5.7L Hemi and eTorque, so it is available on that trim as well, at least in the US (they have a much larger market, so it may be we don't get it here)...if it is available here for $500, it's likely worth getting...supposed to smooth out shifts, possibly assist in engine braking (recharge battery), help a bit getting off the line in stop and go traffic, seamless auto stop/start (conventional starter still used for initial cold engine start up, but the eTorque runs the ASS), and may save about 10% in fuel costs...likely has an ROI of only a couple of years with average use.

I'm pretty sure it's going to be available in all trims eventually.

as oliver has said, likely eventually available in nearly all trims... but as of today, jus the tow I mentioned for Canadian dealers... might be a few bank/factory units getting made, but no orderable ones for dealers/customers as of yet.

You will have to wait for the F150 PHEV to really get the mileage benefits.

that would make sense, especially if it's only a $500 option.
