That's a good looking package!! Totally get what he means about that long hood on this gen of Mustang's, seems to go forever and feels very wide as well.

My dream Mustang is still the GT350, but this one would be in solid second place.  Love the exterior colour but wish you could get it with a tan / coffee interior.  I know the original had black, but still, I want what I want.  ;D

Great looking but I question the value when the 1LE exists.  Also, dealers seem to be willing to deal on the GT350 and that is truly the “special” one.

Just my 2c.

I tend to think the 1LE swings more toward pure performance (even though it obviously has some styling upgrades over the regular SS) where as the Bullitt Mustang is more of a styling exercise (even though it has the performance upgrades that come with the performance package and 20hp increase).  I'd fully expect a Camaro 1LE to be faster on the track and the Mustang to be the better Sunday cruiser.

On a Sunday drive, it's nice to see out.

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Why the better Sunday cruiser?  From what I understand the manual and clutch in the Camaro is much easier to use with less vagueness.  The SS motor also has a lot more low end torque whereas the Bullit motor, while having more power, requires you to rev it out to get the power.  It doesn’t come alive until 3500 rpm.  I have also read that the ride/handling balance borders on perfection. For these reasons I suspect the 1LE to be both the better performance car and the better cruiser.

When I test drove the GT350 I fell in love with the motor but make no mistake: you have to rev it out to get the power and then you are at 125 km/hr in second gear.  It is really long geared and I have read the Bullit is like this as well.  Maybe not as usable in daily driving than gobs of off idle torque.

Maybe.

I said better Sunday cruiser because it's more about looking good in your vehicle and a comfortable drive.  I obviously haven't driven a 1LE back to back with a Bullitt but I have driven both the new mustang (not the refreshed one mind you) and the current gen Camaro and the Mustang definitely felt more comfy cruiser than the Camaro I drove.  The ultimate comfort muscle car is obviously the Challenger.

To bad about the fugly wheels.  I'll take a base GT with the Perf Pkg #2 and a couple other options and call it good. Maybe in that new Velocity Blue.

While I agree that the Mustang would make a better daily driver I’m not quite sure the difference is as large as some would make it out to be.

Depends how bad you like seeing out of your car. :)

Matt Farah was pretty vicious concerning the movie tie in. I kinda agree.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.
