Although this falls into the CUV category still... I always looked at these as the only one that could actually do some off road adventures and tow... and in order to do that, there's always compromises when it comes to on-road behaviors.

yeah, capability, tow capacity... those help justify some of the flaws. and the last bit regarding incentives is also key.

for example, a loaded up 2019 limited on my lot (with those adaptive cruise features and such the tester was missing) lists out at 49115. my goodness that is steep! we have that same jeep listed at 42472 after discounts/incentives though... add 0% that is stackable on that up to 6 years.

so compare that with say a 2018 rav4 limited with what they are advertised for and this months program(using one of the cheaper ones [non platinum].. about page 6 on trader for new cars in my area)... 6 year payment is the same (about 308 bi weekly) including taxes.

not really trying to say anything about either vehicle... more just that there is much less price discrepancy than people think or what is on the surface, and that goes for most cars... if reviews and personal opinion finds list prices on one to be crazy, i'll bet dollars to donuts that once incentives are calculated, the craziness is gone.

Coincidentally, I sat in one of these on Friday.  One of the girls at work drove to a meeting and I hopped in with her.  She has a North, and I did not like the seats.  They felt small, and I'm sure if I spent more than an hour in them, my back would have started hurting.

I realize this is a personal preference thing.

a couple of coworkers have Trailhawks...one is a 2015 and the other is a 2019...i've found them quite nice, but they are higher trims than the North, so perhaps they have better seats in them.
