I drove the X2 in California earlier this year and was impressed with the ride of it (and I even took it up a rocky access road). Then the X1 I reviewed a month or two back here rode like it had concrete for a suspension and I started really second-guessing myself with that X2 until I saw Jacob's review. *shrug*
If you drive the X1 with sport suspension and X2 with base - maybe
This guy clearly says that, when comparably equipped, the X2 is tuned for a sportier ride, and the "sport" suspension is very stif and uncomfortable for daily use
