I drove my buddy's Z3 3.0 when i had my S2K and it was nice, but a little too laid back and subdued in comparison to my S2000.  Just nothing special.  The M is a whole different animal.

Ummm...don't you remember me saying "Z3...but it has to be the M or bust" in Sailor's thread?   ;D

Yeah, I did poach some ideas from Sailor's thread for sure.  ;D  Still, didn't think the M would be that much of an improvement in performance.  Always loved the looks though.

Come to think of it, I got turned on to Lexus after test driving that LS400 for you a few years back.  That car wasn't for me but i was really impressed how well it drove for a 20 year old car.  That thing would have lasted another 20 with proper maintenance.

dang.   Z3s do indeed look amazing, and you will "probably" like the engine a lot.  it being a convertible wouldn't hurt either.

nice one!

Love the engine!  Now i can see why you hold onto yours.  Such an analog package!

Try it out man!  If you fit you will love it!  Like i said, the Z3 wasn't even on my radar.  I drove my buddy's Z3 3.0 when i had my S2K and it was nice, but a little too laid back and subdued in comparison to my S2000.  Just nothing special.  The M is a whole different animal.
Love the inline 6 in the 323i, so this would be a big step up! Will have to see if I can get out to check this one out...

^ lol

Well, it's a done deal now.  Took it out for a good run after i picked it up and it really does make some sweet sounds.  Lovely little car!!  The rear quarter on this is a thing of beauty and pure automotive sex imo.  Can't stop looking at it.

You don't own an "M" until you post the gratuitous M badge pic!!   ;D

You getting an exhaust for it for more glorious sound?

I counted last night and there are only 8 including the ones on the sill plates, unless i missed some.   :D

Was planning on doing a good detail inside and out, but it's already been done.  I applied some leather conditioner on the seats and the engine bay last night, but all the rubber and plastics have been done already this season, and the paint was waxed less than a month ago.  I'll just give it a good wash and should be good until mid-summer.

Awesome car, definitely on my list of attainable toys.  I've started my "fun car fund"....so when you're tired of it, just bring it over to Moncton  :rofl2:

Thanks.  Yeah, it's a long story...lol.  My case for the manual was helped by the fact that the auto we agreed on was almost $20k more than what I paid for this one, and that's not including the plane ticket and hotel, etc.

We did buy a piece of land that she wanted back in the spring as well, so there's the expense of building something on that in a couple of years.   :P

Another one local to you? Looks great!

Nice, but I paid a lot less for mine with much lower mileage.  Still, nice car for someone.  Funny, that one is located even closer than the one i bought.  Anyone want me to check it out for them?  ;D
