Wow, what a great find!      Looks like the one BWII posted a while back.

Congrats!

I'm gonna give you a poke if we head down to NS in the roadster this summer.  Would be cool to do a gtg and drive some of those awesome NS back roads.   :skid:

And it's still for sale too...damn wish I could...I think it'd be fun.  And it'd fit in the garage with the truck and Fusion if I made some room to squeeze it in.  Move the lawn mower outside...

Nice buy

Do it man!  Doubt you will lose any money on that.  Have fun, then sell it when you're done.

Very cool ride.

Miata's are inexpensive, RWD, 99.9% are manual transmission equipped, they have no practical value, have two seats, no roof and two tiny doors.  They handle great, have the engine pointing in the right direction, and have a classic long hood short trunk sports car style.

Is it a surprise that quite a few people on a car enthusiast forum would own one, or TWO?

Actually it was a local car. I put an add out for a Mazdaspeed on Kijiji. Went and looked at a few and decided on this one because it was so clean.
Sounds like a plan on the back roads. I'm unsure which car to drive though. :-\

I had the exact same car until three years ago.  Got about to about  150,000 km with no problems.  Mine had all your mods except for the larger intercooler.

It a fantastic car to drive!

I still miss it's tossable handling even though the replacement car has much higher limits.

Picked this up about a month ago. Finally got  a few pics . It is an 04 Mazdaspeed Miata. I had been looking for one for some time. Thought I needed 2 at the same time. ;D. It has the little enchilada kit from Fly'in Miata. https://www.flyinmiata.com/miata-performance-parts/msm-2004-05-turbo/msm-turbo-packages.html

I wasn't necessarily looking for one with the Little enchilada, just turned out it had it. I drove a stock MSM and there is a big difference. The only thing I can't get used to is the sound of the blow off valve. Sounds like I am driving a steam engine. :-[

Congrats!
I've never seen anyone having two cars.  At least this one is an MS one.
That engine bay, along with the rest of the car, looks so clean.  Much cleaner than my cars will ever be!

I've met a surprising number of Miata peeps with two or more!

Sweet! Nothing wrong with multiples of the same car... ;D Looks really well kept, especially in the engine bay.

Cool.  Maybe, I'll get two Volares.  :)

Got around to installing a Rostra universal cruise control on the mazdaspeed .  http://www.rostra.com/universal-aftermarket-cruise-control-by-rostra.php
The cars were sold in 2004 and 2005 and did not come with a factory cruise control. It had something to do with vacuum and turbos. At that time mazda still used  a vacuum activated cruise in their cars. The Rostra unit overcomes this problem as it is electronic. It even activates the cruise light on the instrument cluster that all 2nd generation miata's had from the factory. I am very pleased how it operates, as I will be doing longer highway drives with this car.

Going to investigate for my NA - long drives are getting brutal without cruise.

Yes, cc is definitely a must have feature for long highway drives.  Cool that it activates the dash light too.

I've been driving a van out of the spare pool while my truck gets a new engine installed and it has no cruise.  It really sucks not having it on the long drives I do every day.
