Another bloody miata
« on: June 19, 2018, 11:07:22 am »
Picked this up about a month ago. Finally got  a few pics . It is an 04 Mazdaspeed Miata. I had been looking for one for some time. Thought I needed 2 at the same time. ;D. It has the little enchilada kit from Fly'in Miata. https://www.flyinmiata.com/miata-performance-parts/msm-2004-05-turbo/msm-turbo-packages.html

Very cool! Can't have too many Miatas.

The previous owner did not drive it very much. It now sits at 58,000 km's.  The engine bay in my 90 is similar but has 213,000 km's

My engine bay looks like crap right now as my valve cover gasket is leaking and I'm too lazy to replace it despite it being an easy job.  Did the clutch hydraulic system a couple weeks ago and did a bunch of work on the Highlander in the last couple of months.  Just being a procrastinator now...

Sometimes those miata valve cover gaskets can be removed and cleaned up and reused. I've had success with this in the past. I just had the clutch replaced on my 90 and had the rear main seal  done as it was leaking. Wasn't really worth doing unless the clutch was done.
