I don’t think there is much difference based on looking at one owned by someone down the street prior to buying mine.  I haven’t actually measured it but the new one is supposed to have about 8 inches (22 cm) clearance. 

I can tell you that it is not has high as my Sorento, something that both of us have noticed.  A good thing too, as even I will admit there were times I wished for a little less clearance.  Sometimes, too much of a good thing is in fact a bad thing.  ;-)

The blubaru has suffered its first injury, on its first full day of driving, no less.

We were coming back from a day trip to visit friends in Alexandria, Ontario for some cycling.  On the way home, the cowling covering my right fog light came off.  We didn’t notice it until the next morning.

On the bright side, my dealer is one of the few in the area open on Saturday, so I went and arranged for a new part.  They will let me know when it’s in.
