Yes 3-4 seasons is usually it. Why do you think they accumulated dust in a warehouse?

I don't think anyone's ever bought stale tires from Costco. The Blizzaks I bought last November were a couple of months old.

yea, Costco's volume will usually allow pretty fresh product...also, depending on the size, Costco may not inventory them at all, but perhaps the distributor does...this way, when the tires are ordered, Costco buys them right then and there and the tires are shipped from the supplier to Costco...this puts the warehousing on the supplier and frees Costco up from finishing the season with tires that didn't sell.
When you've lost the argument, admit defeat and hit the smite button.

Good offer. Just looked up tires for my GTI in 17 inch size and they are $816 ($200/corner + $16 tire levy) + taxes. Then I get to buy $80 worth of food.

You can refuse delivery of the tires if the date is not to your liking.

best to confirm dates before they swap onto your rims and then show you. I did this with my last three sets and yes they were all fresh.

I’ve read good things about the Pirellis, but will wait for the Blizzak sale and get the WS90s. Don’t care if it’s in September, I’ll just get them mounted on my rims before the rush and install myself when it’s time.

However, I am tempted by the new Continental VikingContact7. Seems to be the new top dog in the Euro studless tests.  :-\

Just Googled it and read it is a direct competitor to the Pirelli Ice FR.

Yup, they were #1 and #2 in this test: https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=4&hl=en&nv=1&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=no&sp=nmt4&tl=en&u=https://www.naf.no/forbrukertester/dekktester/vinterdekktest-2018/&xid=17259,15700021,15700124,15700149,15700186,15700191,15700201,15700214&usg=ALkJrhh6Qi-a287Kee6SSRUfL3GGrNV0Pw

But the Continental was #1.  :)

As tempted as I am, bare-road performance is also important to me, and I think I’ll be happiest giving up a smidge of ice/snow performance to get the WS90’s better performance in the dry.

That's where I'm at.  I prefer better clear road manners.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Still great performance from the FR's, even better than Hakka's R3!  :o

not surprising...Costco's sales volumes likely ensure decent inventory turnover...as well, regarding tires, i think they only stock the most common sizes, the rest are likely shipped to the stores directly from the suppliers (eliminating any stale inventory risk for Costco)...might be a tough sell for most retailers to get that treatment, but Costco's volumes likely give them the edge.

The Corolla needs new snowies so the WS-90s will be it once they’re on special at Costco.

The Highlander needs new summers in the spring and I’ll see what Costco has for AT tires that fit it. I’ve really liked having AT tires for access roads to trailheads. Worth the extra noise on the highway.

I see that the Bridgestone special is on now until September 29. Just the $70 Costco card, though, no 1-cent installation.

Any chance the 1-cent installation promo will show up later as well?  ???

Blizzaks may be known enough they don't have to try that hard

Got my Pirelli Ice FR's on Monday. They look good, and dated 1619, so last week of April this year I'm assuming

Made in Russia, so have to be good

I am going to wait a week or so and see. Last time they credited me when it showed up after my install.
